Guidelines Regarding Free Samples and Contests (MUST READ)

This is a fairly new blog (http://indiagetseverythingfree.blogspot.com/), hardly 4 months old.
Many of the readers are new to ordering samples or participating in contests (there are some, who are very much experienced).
New members have lot of questions on their mind like
is this real or fake?
when will samples be delivered?
So, i am taking time to write this article to clear some of your doubts.


Regarding Samples and Delivery Time

• The samples are real. Various companies give out samples to people, so they can try their products and later on become their customers.
• Sample delivery can take anything between 1 week to 6 months. Normally, if sample requests are from home countries, they are SURELY delivered. It doesn't mean that overseas sample are not delivered.
• Normally, samples from abroad take much longer to be delivered.
• Some NGO's also offer some freebies. Rest assured that these freebies WILL BE DELIVERED. For Example, we posted about oil and petroleum book, quit smoking book and green IT for dummies book. Former 2 are from NGOs and latter from IBM for a noble cause. I have myself ordered them and they are nicely placed in my book shelf.
• Some overseas samples/freebies might not get delivered because companies don't find a market there (in countries other than their home country)
• Try to order all samples and freebies. You won't lose anything.
• Please don't order same freebie or sample more than 1 time from same IP Address. You might not get any. If yours is ADSL connection, try disconnecting and reconnecting your internet connection. You may also change your browser to avoid any cookie issues.

Regarding Contests

• All contests are REAL.
• Try to participate in as many contests as it increases your chances of winning. I am writing this specially because not many readers have cared to participate in movie contests. I researched on Internet a lot to try and find out the answers to the quiz questions but not many people participated. Also remember, there are thousands of people participating in these contests. If you don't win, don't lose heart and keep trying, keep participating.

Word Of Caution

• While ordering sample/freebie or participating in a contest, uncheck the option of subscribing to the newsletter. Some companies might irritate you by sending spam in your mailbox.
• Try use a different email id for this purpose.
