Terms and conditions

1. Information on prizes and how to enter Aviva i-Life T20 Challenge contest form a part of these Terms & Conditions of Entry.
2. To be eligible for participation in the Contest, participant must be an Indian national or resident of India. No purchase is necessary to enter the Competition.
3. The Contest shall be open from 00:00 hours on September 24th, 2012 and close on October 07, 2012 at 23.59 hours ("Contest Period"). Entries received after the closing of the Contest pPeriod shall not be considered and the same will be invalid. Aviva India Life Insurance has the sole and absolute right to close earlier or extend the contest by any time at its discretion.
4. The Participant or their parents/legal guardian agree that the names and e-mail identities by the Participants, may be used by Aviva Life Insurance Company India Limited (“Aviva”)at their sole discretion, for sending out commercial information, via different modes of communication and/or for other publicity or promotional purposes and/or for solicitation of insurance business to the participants or their parents/legal guardian.
5. The prizes shall be subject to tax deduction under the Income Tax Act, 1961 or other applicable laws, which will be borne by the winners. The winner shall be responsible for any additional, incidental expenses required to be incurred to avail of the prize. All taxes, insurances, transfers, and other incidental and related expenses as the case may be, unless specifically stated, shall be the sole responsibility of the prize winner.
6. Aviva reserves the right to modify the terms and conditions of the Contest, prize etc, with or without notice to the Participants and without assigning any reason. Participant's continued participation in the Contest will be considered as his/her and his/her guardian’s deemed acceptance of the modified terms and conditions. Aviva reserves the right to cancel any or all part of the prizes.
7. The winner will be required to provide certified proof of his/her identity and residence, if any.
8. Participants are invited to join the contest by liking the Aviva Facebook page and answering questions based on T20 cricket and/or Aviva i-Life, Aviva India’s online pure term protection plan.
9. 3 daily winners will be announced, who will win merchandise signed by Sachin Tendulkar. Gifts include a cricket book, and other cricket-related souvenirs.
10. Weekly winners would win gift voucher in addition to the gifts mentioned above. The value of these gift vouchers would be as per the values defined in the Prizes app of the Aviva.
11. The ‘Grand winner’ of the Sachin Autographed book would receive the gift vouchers as per the prize dispatch deadlines. The autographed book would be given to the winner as per Sachin Tendulkar’s availability to personally sign the book. No timelines can be shared for this specific prize. If the contestant desires, the book may be delivered to them sans the signature. No other gifts would be sent in lieu of this book.
12. Images displayed on the 'Prizes' page are indicative. Actual prizes may differ. No representation in this regard would be entertained.
13. Any of the range of prizes indicated in the contest may be sent to the winners. Winners cannot exchange or ask for exchange of these prizes.
14. Subject to any applicable laws (a) all warranties, whether express or implied, are hereby expressly disclaimed by Aviva including, but not limited to, meeting of the Participant's requirements or aspirations, timeliness, security, delivery, quality, quantity, merchantability, fitness for use or non infringement in respect of any prizes acquired under the Contest or any transactions effected through the Contest; (b) No advice or information whether by representations, oral, written or pictorial derived from the website or through the Contest shall be construed to mean the giving of any warranty of any kind by Aviva; and (c) The Participants expressly agree that his/her participation in the Contest is at the Participant's sole risk and is governed by the terms and conditions herein. Aviva shall not be responsible for any cost, loss or damages of any nature incurred by the winners while availing or utilizing the prizes.
15. The selection of the winners will be at the sole discretion of Aviva.
16. Prizes would be dispatched within 45 working days of the contest end date.
17. Aviva bears no responsibility for damage to prizes in transit. Adequate packaging and packing material will be used to ensure safe passage of goods. Any prizes received in non-satisfactory condition will not be replaced. No representations in this regard would be entertained.
18. Prizes would be sent to postal codes serviced by popular courier services and/or Speed Post within India only.
19. Aviva reserves the right to withdraw or discontinue with the programme at any stage, and shall bear no responsibility for cancellation or postponement of the said programme.
20. By entering into this contest, each participant is deemed to have granted Promoters the right, at its sole and absolute discretion, to use the nickname, names, photographs, and entries of the participants without obtaining any other further consent or making any payment whatsoever to such Entrant and/or the representatives of such Entrant for publicity, advertising, trade or promotion purposes in any media.
21. All entries and all copyright and other rights in such entries become the property of the Promoters. By entering the Competition (unless otherwise advised by the participant), each participant consents to the information submitted with their entry being entered into a database and to the use by the Promoters and/or its affiliates of this information in any media in accordance with the Promoter’s online privacy policy
22. The Promoters reserve the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any participant who tampers with the entry process and, subject to the approval of those authorities which have issued permits for the conduct of this Competition, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest if, for any reason, this contest is not capable of running as planned, including but not limited to reasons of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures, act of god or any other causes beyond the control of Promoters that corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this contest.
23. Entrants agree that Contest Administrator shall not be liable for losses or injuries of any kind resulting from acceptance/possession and/or use/misuse of prize(s), participation in contest, or any technical malfunctions of the telephone network and/or transmission line, or unavailable network server, cable, satellite, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, or other connections, availability of cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures, difficulties or other errors or problems of any kind whether technical, mechanical, electronic, network, printing, typographical, computer, computer on-line system, computer equipment, hardware, software, or any combination thereof, or any entries that are late (including delayed data transmissions), tampered with, garbled, incomplete, misdirected, lost, mutilated, delayed, corrupted, mechanically duplicated, or otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules. Entrants also agree that Contest Administrator is not responsible or liable for any injury or damage to an entrant's or third person's computer related to or resulting from contest and its prizes. The Contest Administrator is not liable for damage to a user's computer system in any way due to an entrant's participation in the contest or downloading any information in connection with the contest, including without limitation any server failure, lost, delayed or corrupted data or other malfunction or otherwise relating to or in connection with the sweepstakes, including, without limitation, errors or problems which may occur in connection with the administration of the sweepstakes, the processing of the entries, the announcement of the prizes or in any sweepstakes-related materials.
24. Winners will be determined by random drawing from all eligible correct entries received. The judge's decision is final and binding. No correspondence will be entertained. Results of the Winners will be announced within 21 working days after the stipulated closing date of the contest draw. Entrants are responsible for ensuring that their profiles are updated and that their names and I/C numbers have been accurately submitted on the contest form. This is to allow the Contest Administrator to verify the winners upon collection of prizes.
25. The Winners names would be published on www.facebook.com/avivalifeinsurance or contacted personally. The Winner will have 14 working days to accept the prize from the date results are posted online on the contest website www.facebook.com/avivaindia. The Contest Administrator and Sponsor will not be responsible for and will not be liable for any inaccurate or incorrect entry or information by the entrants. Any late, misdirected, lost, or unsuccessful efforts to notify winners. If a winner cannot be reached via the e-mail address and/or contact number provided on entry form within five (5) working days from Contest Administrator's first attempt to contact him/her, or if he/she is found to be ineligible, or if he/she cannot or does not otherwise comply with these Official Rules, an alternate winner will be selected by random drawing.
26. The sponsor of this competition is Aviva and needs to collect your information in order to run this competition, and undertakes to keep your details safe and never share them, except with our partner companies for the purposes of providing limited services on our behalf, such as Web site development and hosting, contacting winners of competitions, and delivering prizes; answering customer questions about products and services, and sending information about our products, special offers, and other new services. We will only provide those companies the personal information they need to deliver the service, for the period they require the information, following which they are required to return or destroy the data. They are required to maintain the confidentiality of the information and are prohibited from using that information for any other purpose.
27. The disputes, if any, arising out of or in conjunction with or as a result of this offer or otherwise relating hereto shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts/tribunals at New Delhi irrespective of whether courts/tribunals in other areas have concurrent or similar jurisdiction. This contest is open for Indian citizens currently residing in India. Winners once declared would be final in all respect.
28. Accessing and updating your personal information: We need your help in keeping the personal information you have shared with us accurate and up to date. Please notify us of any changes to your personal information.
29. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third-parties for marketing purposes unless you have granted us permission to do so.
30. We may share your personal information within Aviva or any of our worldwide subsidiaries for purposes of data processing or storage.
31. We may collect and possibly share personal information and any other additional information available to us in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of Intel's terms of use, or as otherwise required by law.
32. We will ask you for your opt-in consent to share your personal information with a third party for any other reason.
33. Upon request Aviva will inform you whether and what exactly of your personal data is saved by us. Should any data be wrong despite our efforts regarding the correctness of data and being up-to-date we will correct it if you ask us to.
