Terms And Conditions

Information regarding prizes and the method of participation form a part of these Terms and Conditions. By participating in this Contest, Participants accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. This contest and the Terms and Conditions are subject to the laws of India, and is not offered outside of India.

1. Axis Bank Limited (hereinafter referred to as “Axis Bank”) is holding a contest, “Money and Matinee” (hereinafter referred to as “the Contest” ) which is valid throughout India except in the states, where prohibited by the Public Gaming Act, 1867 or any other applicable law, from 20th Oct’2012 till 29th Oct’2012 hereinafter called “Contest Period”);
2. The Contest is valid for Indian Residents, who are 18 years and above as of 20th October 2012 .
3. To be eligible for this Contest, the participant must be a fan of the Official Axis Bank Facebook page (www.facebook.com/axisbank). The participant is required to click on the ‘Money and Matinee’ tab on the Axis Bank Facebook page and enter the application.
4. Axis Bank’s application ‘Money and Matinee’ on Facebook, will ask 5 questions daily during the Contest Period, based on money and movies; which will have four options and the participant will have to select the correct answer.
5. This application will only be running on Axis Bank Facebook page from 20th October 2012 to 29th October 2012.
6. 10 participants with most number of correct answers for the questions asked on a daily basis, would be announced as winners (except for inhabitants of Jammu & Kashmir and Tamil Nadu, who will be allowed to play, however will not be eligible to win according to Public Gaming Act, 1867).
7. Every day, there will be 10 winners announced on Facebook. In case of more than 10 individuals getting the same number of correct answers, winners will be selected randomly.
8. Each winner would be given a Gift Voucher e-Code of Bookmyshow (www.bookmyshow.com) within 7 days on their registered email provided within the application while participating in the contest (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Voucher’). Thus there would be a total of 100 e-code Vouchers to be won.
9. Participating in the “Money and Matinee” contest implies that you agree to all Terms & Conditions of the contest. Any participant found using any unfair or illegal means will be immediately disqualified.
10. All applicable taxes including but not limited to income (withholding) tax and any other statutory levy as may be applicable from time to time in relation to the Voucher shall be borne by the winner. The winner is solely responsible for any other expense related to the acceptance of the Voucher and Axis Bank or its associate companies shall not in any manner be liable or responsible for the same. The winners will be sent an e-code voucher which can be redeemed on the Bookmyshow website (www.bookmyshow.com) while purchasing a ticket for an event, movie etc. and should apply the e-code whilst checking out and booking their tickets.
11. The winners will be sent emails intimating them about their prize on their registered email address. The validity of the voucher will be 3 months.
12. Entries and comments should not (i) contain any inappropriate, harmful, vulgar, obscene, derogatory, pornographic, abusive, harassing, threatening, hateful, objectionable or offensive language or content; or (ii) should not violate the rights of any party; or (iii) contain anything which, if published, would adversely affect the reputation of Axis Bank.
13. In the event that a winner is unreachable, ineligible, or fails to claim the Voucher in the time required, the winner shall forfeit their Voucher and the same shall not be transferable to any other party;
14. This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook. The participant is providing their information to Axis Bank and not to Facebook. By participating in the Contest, the participant hereby consents to the accessing of information and/or images of the user on Facebook by Axis Bank and/or its Event Management Company for the purpose of this Contest. Further, Axis Bank shall be at liberty to use the entries received for its media coverage, advertisement or publicity in any form which is existing today or will be known anytime in the future without any further consideration to the participants including promotion of any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by it;
15. The participation in the Contest is voluntary. Participation in this Contest constitute acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. By participating in this Contest, participant agrees to receive communication(s) from Axis Bank and/or its Event Management Company relating to the Contest and participant unconditionally agrees not to make any claim or raise any complaint against Axis Bank and/or the Event Management Company in this respect.
16. All winners are subject to verification, including without limitation, verification of eligibility through checks as deemed appropriate by Axis Bank and complete compliance with these Terms and Conditions; Axis Bank reserves the right to verify the winner’s details either on its own or through its authorised agency / person and the winner shall provide all necessary assistance in such verification. In exercising this right, Axis Bank may ask the winner to provide any documentary or other form of evidence, and if evidence does not establish the same then Axis Bank, in its sole discretion, will have the right to disqualify the winner.
17. Axis Bank shall not be responsible for system outages, delays, equipment malfunctions, errors or data loss of any kind, lost or unavailable connections, or failed, incomplete, garbled or deleted transmissions or other technological or technical difficulties or impediments or any other force majeure event that may prevent a participant from participating in the Contest. Further, Axis Bank will not be responsible or liable for including but not limited to the following: (a) any failure to receive submissions due to transmission failures and other conditions beyond its reasonable control; (b) any late, lost, misrouted, or damaged transmissions or entries or prizes; (c) any computer or communications related malfunctions or failures; (d) any disruptions, losses or damages caused by events beyond the control of Axis Bank; or (e) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Contest or (f) any delay, damage, non receipt, lost, misrouted prizes.
18. Axis Bank will not be liable for delay in delivery of prizes due to non-availability of stocks or for any other reason beyond its control.
19. The participant agrees to indemnify and keep Axis Bank indemnified for any loss or damage that Axis Bank may suffer w.r.t. the Contest including but not limited to any fraudulent and/or illegal transaction or any misrepresentation made by the participant while entering into this Contest.
20. Axis Bank shall not be liable in any manner whatsoever if the Vouchers are not redeemable or if the same is non-functional due to any technical or other issues at Bookmyshow’s website.
21. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency regarding any instructions, rules and conditions on any advertising or promotional material relating to the Contest, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail over all such other instructions, rules and conditions.
22. The Voucher cannot be exchanged with any product or item, is non transferable and cannot be en-cashed under any circumstances or clubbed with any other offer whatsoever. Accessories, if any shown with the prize shall not form part of the prize to be provided to the winner. Axis Bank shall not be liable for any loss or damage due to acts of God, governmental actions, other force majeure circumstances and shall not be liable to pay any amount as compensation or otherwise for any such loss.
23. By participating in the Contest, each participant represents and warrants that he/she is legally competent to enter into binding contracts under applicable laws. By taking part and/or entering into the Contest the participant warrants that all information provided by the participant regarding his/her name, age, state, city, address, phone number, etc., is true, correct, accurate and complete and that the participant is authorised to provide such information and consents to the use of such information by Axis Bank and/or its Event Management Company.
24. Axis Bank reserves the absolute right to amend the Terms and Conditions of the Contest or extend the Contest Period or cancel or discontinue the Contest or any part thereof without giving any reasons or prior notice and shall not be liable to any party whatsoever regarding the same. Axis Bank reserves the right to substitute the prizes under this Contest with prizes of equivalent value, at its sole discretion. Contest shall be void, if prohibited by law. In such case, Axis Bank shall not be liable to provide any gift(s)/ prize(s) or compensation to the winner on any account.
25. Contest shall be void in any state where prohibited by law. In such case, Axis Bank shall not be liable to provide any free cashback, gift(s) or compensation to the participant on any account.
26. Failure by Axis Bank to enforce any of its right at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
27. By entering the Contest, the participant agrees that Axis Bank shall not be liable for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Contest or with the acceptance, possession, or use of any prize (except any liability which may not be excluded under applicable law).
28. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of India. Decision of Axis Bank in relation to the Contest and matter incidental thereto shall be final and binding on the customer. Dispute if any in respect of the Contest should be sent in writing to Axis Bank Limited, Corporate Office, C-2 Wadia International Centre, Pandurang Budhkar Marg, Worli, Mumbai – 400025. The existence of dispute, if any, shall not constitute a claim against Axis Bank. Any and all disputes, controversies and conflicts (“Disputes”) arising out of the Contest shall be referred to a sole Arbitrator to be appointed by the authorised official of Axis Bank in accordance with the Arbitration and the Conciliation Act, 1996 and any statutory modifications thereof. The place of arbitration shall be Mumbai and the language used in arbitral proceeding shall be English. Subject to the dispute resolution procedure as set out here in above, the courts at Mumbai shall have the exclusive jurisdiction in respect of all the subject matter with relation to the Contest.

Gift Voucher Standard Terms and Conditions:

1. Gift Voucher eCode can be redeemed ONLY on www.bookmyshow.com and cannot be redeemed directly at the cinema/venue box office.
2. Multiple Gift Voucher eCodes may be used in a single transaction or the Gift Voucher eCode may be combined with any other payment type on BookMyShow.
3. Gift Voucher eCode can be redeemed on purchase of tickets for Movies/Plays/Concert/Sport available on BookMyShow website.
4. Gift Voucher eCode can be redeemed partially until the last Rupee on the voucher code is exhausted or till the validity of the voucher.
5. Voucher eCode valid PAN India across all cinemas/partners associated with BookMyShow.
6. If lost/misused, the voucher eCode cannot be replaced. Void if resold, Cannot be exchanged for point(s) or cash & cannot be re-validated once past expiry date.
7. In addition to these BookMyShow Gift Voucher(s) Terms and Conditions, BookMyShow Vouchers and their use on our website are also subject to BookMyShow's general Terms of Use & BookMyShow’s decision will be final in case of any dispute
