NO PURCHASE OR OBLIGATION IS NECESSARY. By participating in the Contest, you agree to abide by all rules and decisions of the sponsor, Razer USA Ltd. ("Razer"), and you are deemed to accept these General Contest Rules.
Employees of Razer and its affiliates, and immediate family members of such employees, are ineligible to participate in the Contest.
Contestant must be at least 18 years old. Contest void wherever prohibited or restricted by law.
The Contest shall begin on 3 December 2012 at 9am PST and end on 4 January 2013 midnight PST. The representatives of Razer are the only official timekeeper for the Contest.
All Contest entries shall be submitted in the stipulated manner on http://www.razerzone.com/bladegiveaway within the Contest duration. Verified referral entries will constitute 1 additional entry for an alternative prize pool to the original referrer. Razer reserves the right to disqualify late, lost, illegible, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, improperly submitted or otherwise irregular Contest entries.
Submitted Contest entries are the sole property of Razer and shall not be acknowledged or returned.
To the extent permitted by local laws, submission of a Contest entry shall be deemed consent to Razer recording or using the Winner’s name, photograph, likeness, voice, statements, biographical information and contact details worldwide in all forms of media, in perpetuity, without further compensation.
Razer and its licensor assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of entries, or any problem or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or line, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any online Contest entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, which may limit a Contestant’s ability to participate in the Contest.
The Contest entry is deemed submitted by the name indicated thereon, but in the event of any dispute, an online Contest entry is deemed submitted by the registered internet or e-mail account holder associated with such entry. Satisfactory proof of association shall be furnished to Razer without fail.
Prizes are offered “as is” with no written, express, or implied warranty. No transfer, substitution, exchange or cash equivalent is allowed.
Razer will notify each Winner of their Prize. Any failure by Winner to respond within a period of seven (7) calendar days shall result in Prize forfeiture and selection of an alternate Winner. The same outcome shall apply to any undeliverable Prize.
If a Prize cannot be awarded for any reason, Razer may substitute with another item of equivalent kind or comparable value.
Except for costs specifically expressed to be borne by Razer, all taxes, insurance, installation, fees and other charges and expenses associated with a Prize remain the sole responsibility of the Winner. If a Prize is mailed, the Winner assumes the risk of the Prize’s safe arrival. Razer will bear expense of standard shipping cost.
Winner shall provide Razer with satisfactory proof of age and photo identification. To the extent permitted by local laws, Razer may also require the Winner to execute a declaration of eligibility, indemnification and release of liability before award of Prize. Winner will not be eligible to win the new Razer Blade 17” gaming laptop or other prizes if that would involve a violation US Export Control legislation, rules and/or regulations or similar legislation, rules and/or regulations in other jurisdictions. Social Security Number may be needed strictly for tax reporting purposes. Failure to comply may result in disqualification and Prize forfeiture.
ANY ATTEMPT BY A CONTESTANT OR ANYONE TO CIRCUMVENT, TAMPER, DISRUPT OR DAMAGE THE CONTEST ENTRY PROCESS, RAZER WEBSITE OR TELEPHONE SYSTEMS, DEFRAUD OR GAIN AN UNFAIR ADVANTAGE, ENGAGE IN UNSPORTSMANLIKE, DISRUPTIVE, ANNOYING, HARASSING OR THREATENING CONDUCT, OR OTHERWISE UNDERMINE THE FAIRNESS, INTEGRITY AND LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST, WILL RESULT IN AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFICATION AND MAY CONSTITUTE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. Razer retains full discretion to disqualify a Contestant at any time if, in the opinion of Razer, any Contest rule has been infringed. In the event of a Contestant’s disqualification, any Prize won by that Contestant shall be forfeited.
Contestant agrees that any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Contest shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action. Any claim, judgment and award shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred. In no event will attorneys' fees be awarded or recoverable. Contestant knowingly and expressly waives all rights to punitive, incidental or consequential damages and any other damages apart from actual out-of-pocket expenses.
Contestant agrees to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless Razer, its affiliates, licensors, its business partners or prize providers, and directors, officers, employees and agents of any and all of the aforesaid, from and against any claim, damages or liability due to any injuries, losses or damages to any person (including death) or property of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from participation in the Contest or a related activity, whether under contract, tort (including negligence), warranty or any other applicable sources of law.
Razer assumes no responsibility for any administrative errors in the course of operating the Contest.
Razer is entitled to cancel, terminate, modify, suspend the Contest at any time without notice. Any Contest rule may be revised, updated or supplemented at any time without notice.
Contestant agrees to waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Contest rules. Interpretation by Razer of a Contest rule shall be final, conclusive and binding. No correspondence or claims will be entertained.
The Contest and any dispute or issue arising under it shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to principles of conflict of laws. If the whole or any part of a Contest rule may prove to be illegal or unenforceable, the other Contest rules and the remainder of the Contest rule in question shall remain in full force and effect.
