Terms & Conditions:

1. Applicability.

This Contest is only for individuals (Hereinafter to be referred as Participant) residing in India. Employees, directors, and/or officers (including immediate family members or members of the household) of NOKIA, its subsidiaries, affiliated companies, distributors, advertising, fulfillment and promotion agencies, bloggers and all other companies or entities associated with the Contest are not eligible to participate. Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law. Participation constitutes entrant's full and unconditional agreement and acceptance of these Official Rules which shall be final in all respects.

The contest is valid during the period from 11th December'12 to 31st Decemebr'12,both days inclusive (herein after referred to as the "Contest period") . Contest entries must be made in the manner provided and by the closing date and time specified on the Contest Period. Failure to do so will disqualify the entry. The entire Contest is personal between Nokia and the Participants and therefore, it is not transferrable by way of assignment, sale or otherwise under any circumstances whatsover ;

2. How to Enter/Participation

• Entry to this competition is free and no purchase is necessary
• User of the application will be referred to as "participant" from here on.
• The contest will run for the duration mentioned above. The participant is required to sign up via facebook _ in order to participate in the contest. As the user logins, he/she will be eligible to participate in the contest. After that the participant is required to fill up their name, email-id, contact details.
• Ways of participation
  - SMS : SMS to 55555
  - IVR: Call             1800-102-8558       and record their idea
  - FB: Log on to Facebook.com/NokiaIndia and tell their app idea
• The participants have to submit their idea of what app (Application) they would like to have. Along with it the participants would require to answer few questions about some existing popular apps. Like Why do they think this is a good idea
• Ideas will also be judged on the basis of
  - Relevance
  - Originality
  - Revenue Model
• Basis the entries the app. idea with the maximum number of likes, comments & shares shall be the winners and will get to appear in NDTV show. The entries will also be moderated by a moderator. However, the final decision to choose the winners resides within a panel of jury in Nokia India, Rajiv Makhni(NDTV, Gadget Guru)and Vikas Khanna(Celebrity Chef)depending on criteria such as originality, creativity, talent and fair participation. Entries which are not original or found to be using unfair methods to generate likes & shares etc will automatically be disqualified. The entries will be subject to moderation.
• Post the shortlisted entries are submitted to NDTV for further shortlisting, the entries will be open for public voting out of which one winner will be chosen who will be a part of the NDTV show
• Nokia reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and participants (including a participant's identity, age and place of residence)
• If the attempted notification to the winners of the final winners is returned as undeliverable or cannot be verified or the selected winners are otherwise unable to accept their status as Winner, their selection as a Winner in the final category will be forfeited and an alternative Winner / entry may be selected provided sufficient time remains, in Nokia sole discretion.

• The Prizes will be dispatched within 45 days from the end date of the contest.

• Criteria 1: Original/Unique- Is the idea new or unique?
• Old with a new angle- 1 Mark
• New but common- 2 Marks
• New and Unique- 3 Marks 
• Criteria 2: Relevance to consumer (Fun/entertainment, utility) - Is the application relevant to the consumer and serves its purpose?
• Difficult (less relevant) - 1 Mark
• Moderate (medium relevance) - 2 Marks
• Easy (high on relevance) - 3 Marks 
• Criteria 3: Business Potential – Can it generate revenue?
• No- 1 Mark
• May be- 2 Marks
• Yes- 3 Marks 
• Criteria 4: Practicality – How practical is it to implement the idea? Is it feasible for mobile platforms?
• No- 1 Mark
• May be- 2 Marks
• Yes- 3 Marks 

Winning

36 shortlisted contestants will be given to NDTV jury out of which only 10 winners will be shortlisted. Top 3 winners will get
Winner: 10,00,000 INR
First runners up : 3,00,000 INR
Second runners up : 1,00,000 INR
The rest 7 winners will be given 7 Nokia Lumia 920 handsets Applicable Tax ,if any ,shall be deducted at source.
One winner from Viewers choice award will enter the NDTV show and be a part of NDTV " Your wish is my app"

4. Conditions.

By entering the competition, you hereby warrant that all information submitted by you is true, current and complete. Nokia reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all entrants.
Nokia shall own all Intellectual Property Rights with respect to all images/videos uploaded by the participants and the participant shall not at any point of time during or after the contest period contest any claim as to any rights in relation to the uploaded images, pictures and material. All winners shall be selected by a Jury to be appointed by Nokia whose decision shall be final and binding on all the participants to this contest. Any communication of the participants will not be entertained by the Jury.
Prizes are non-transferable. No cash redemption or substitution will be allowed, except at NOKIA's sole discretion. If the prize is unavailable, NOKIA reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. NOKIA also reserves the right to cancel or modify the Contest or these Official Contest Rules if fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond NOKIA's reasonable control impairs the integrity of this Contest, as determined by NOKIA, in its sole discretion.
By participating, , participant grants to NOKIA the worldwide right to publish, broadcast and use in any media, including the World Wide Web, participant's entry, name, picture uploaded by the participant, picture of the participant and likeness, without limitation, for promotional and advertising purposes without additional compensation.
Winner or winner's guardian may be required, in the sole discretion of NOKIA, to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and a liability release within ten (10) days of the issuance of such documents or the prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner.
Freedom of speech and expression are encouraged; but any entry deemed to be obscene will be disqualified and deleted. Nokia reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of the Rules.
In the event where less than twenty (20) content entries are received by the contest deadline, the prizes will roll over to another contest to be announced at a later date.

5. Liability.

By participating in this Contest, you (and if you are a minor, your parents or legal guardians) accept all risk and consequences of entry and participation in this Contest, and agree to release and hold Nokia, its officers, directors, affiliates, employees, contractors, subsidiaries, agents and partners harmless from any and all consequences, liability, losses, damages (including without limitation, consequential, punitive, incidental, special or increased damages and those related to personal injury, death or damage to property) and costs and expenses, of any kind, under any legal theory, arising from or related to this Contest, including but limited to your entry and participation in this Contest, the acceptance and/or use (or misuse) of any prize, printing errors, any claims based upon rights of publicity and invasion of privacy. Entrant shall indemnify NOKIA, its officers, directors, affiliates, contractors, subsidiaries, agents, employees and partners from and against all claims or suits and any damages or costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or relating to entrant's violation or inaccuracy of any warrantees or representations made relating to this Contest. NOKIA assumes no responsibility for errors which may occur in the transmission of entrant's entry. NOKIA is not responsible for any fraud or misconduct on the part of the entrants. Should an entrant engage in fraud or misconduct of any nature, including but not limited to a violation of the Official Rules, such entrant shall be subject to immediate disqualification. NOKIA reserves the right to terminate, modify or amend the Contest at any time if the fairness, integrity, and or proper administration of the Contest is jeopardized. IN NO EVENT SHALL NOKIA BE LIABLE TO ENTRANT FOR ANY LOST PROFITS, OR FOR ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR OTHER INDIRECT DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THIS CONTEST. Entrant's sole damages shall be limited to entrant's actual out of pocket expenses. . 6. These terms and conditions shall be governed by, construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of this contest will be referred to a sole Arbitrator to be appointed by Nokia, whose decision shall be final and binding on the parties. The place of Arbitration shall be New Delhi

7. Entire Agreement. These terms and conditions set forth form the entire understanding between the parties in relation to the above mentioned Contest, and supersede all prior arrangements, publications and understandings relating thereto, whether oral or written.
